Why don’t you just target ACOS like other agencies?
ACOS tells you how much ad spend it took to get a sale. It says nothing about whether that sale made money, because it ignores your product cost and Amazon fees. We use ACOS every day, but we set it per product from each product’s margin, and we judge the result by profit. See our approach for a worked example.
What’s wrong with TACOS?
TACOS is better than ACOS because it includes organic sales. But it still ignores margin, so a falling TACOS can hide a product that loses money on each sale. We track it, but it’s not the target.
Why do you need my product costs?
Without them, no one can work out profit. It’s the one piece of data that separates profit-based management from ACOS-based management. We treat cost data as confidential.
How is your fee worked out?
A base fee of $1,000 a month plus 5% of profit. You choose whether that’s a share of the profit from your ads, or a share of growth in your total account profit above an agreed baseline. Details are on our pricing page.
How do you set the baseline?
From your recent trading history, adjusted for seasonal patterns. We agree it with you in writing before we start, along with exactly which costs are included.
What if profit goes down?
If there’s no profit above the baseline, you pay only the base fee. That’s the point of the model: our income depends on your results.
Won’t you just cut spend to make short-term profit look good?
Cutting spend in a way that hurts rank tends to show up as lost organic sales later. Under the account profit share, lost organic sales reduce our fee too. That’s one reason we prefer that model.
Do you run launches?
Yes. A launch is the one time we plan to spend above break-even. We agree the budget, the time limit and the goal with you first. See product launches.
Which ad types do you manage?
Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display.
Which marketplaces do you cover?
Any Amazon marketplace where you sell. Tell us which ones when you get in touch.
Do you work with Vendor Central accounts?
Our profit model fits Seller Central best, because we need to see fees and sales at product level. If you sell through Vendor Central, get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re a good fit.
Is there a minimum contract?
An initial three-month term, then month to month.
What access do you need?
Access to your Amazon Ads account and the Seller Central reports we need for sales and fees. We never need your login password.
